NO CONNECTION

This is like one of the most interesting day at work ..I was sitting down in front of my com, doing data entry when suddenly the internet connection went down.. no internet access at all .. and there is total no network connection.. that means i cant link to any other computer or watsoever and my data entry work is web-based( meaning connected to the database through intranet connection and web-forms) so quite happy dun need to do work .. super uncle meng foo also realised it .. he also didnt know what to do .. so he asked me to lunch with him.

Back from lunch, i sms chris (who was in malaysia) telling him about the problem.. just as he called back, wesley came into the room too .. fwah this is when the excitement starts... all the computer terms start coming out.. he asked me when happened before hand, and how did it all happen .. we started to check the various servers and also the firewalls .. testing the different computers .. i was trying to remember the different names of each com .. there is like PL-21 PL-11, PL-Local, robocom, netopia. and the different commands for MS-DOS .. fwah super interesting .. lookin at cable seeing how they connect.. troubleshooting the problem... haha.. its like a computer geek kinda thing.. but it's fun sia..

Now the whole thing is fixed that's why i am bloggin it down .. the problem came from a hub .. which is linked to the DHCP server .. which caused the whole things .. so cool .. hope to learn abit of networking quite interesting ..
